If mountains are not your thing, there are several lower level walks all within easy access of Low Wood View, especially next to Brotherswater. Or why not enjoy a relaxing Ullswater cruise from Glenridding to Howtown on one of the Ullswater 'Steamers' before walking back along the lakeside path? This walk was described by Wainwright as one of the most beautiful and rewarding in all of the Lake District. You can also take the Steamer to Aira Force and Pooley Bridge.
The nearest pub is the excellent Brotherswater Inn, just half a mile away, and there are also a good range of other pubs and hotels in nearby Patterdale and Glenridding.
From here you can explore the whole of the Lake District, roam the Vale of Eden, visit Hadrian's Wall, shop in Carlisle -
Ambleside, Windermere, Grasmere, Keswick and Penrith are all within a 30 to 40 minute drive of Low Wood View, making it an ideal base to explore the whole of The Lake District.
