Ideal Lakeland cottage for walking, celebrating and relaxing
This traditional Lakeland stone built cottage lies just a few miles south of Ullswater, considered by many to be the most beautiful of England's lakes. Its location, next to Brotherswater in the peaceful hamlet of Hartsop, enjoys unrivalled views of wooded fell sides and tumbling mountain streams.
Our holiday cottage sleeps 6 and offers style and comfort in a truly stunning setting. We welcome the whole family, including pets.
Footpaths wind off in every direction, and passing deer and sheep dot the fells making it a superb location for a relaxing holiday.
For the enthusiastic (or even the not so enthusiastic) walker, the mountain ranges of Helvellyn, High Street and St. Sunday Crag are all within easy reach.
If mountains are not your thing, there are several lower level walks all within easy access of Low Wood View. Why not enjoy a relaxing cruise from Glenridding to Howtown on one of the Ullswater 'Steamers' before walking back along the lakeside path? This walk was described by Wainwright as one of the most beautiful and rewarding in all of the Lake District.
